Born in Kaliningrad and raised in San Jose’s historic Willow Glen, Michaels brings a global perspective and a disciplined eye to spatial design.
His practice is deeply informed by a foundational background in high fashion and luxury apparel merchandising. Michaels approaches interior spaces through the technical lens of textile behavior, tailoring, and structural form—expertly balancing material, light, volume, and movement.
